SMDI participated in the 8th annual PTV Asia Pacific User Group Meeting (UGM) last November 16 – 17, 2015 in W Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. The theme was application of PTV softwares to traffic and transportation studies. Participants came from ten (10) countries, namely: Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Various topics were presented by PTV users and PTV Group’s team. Some of the studies presented were Big Data for Traffic Planning, Management, and Modelling, Study Applications in Vissim and Viswalk with examples from around Asian Cities, Transportation Impact Analysis for New Developments with PTV Vistro, and Real Time Traffic Forecast with PTV Optima. The UGM is an annual event to provide a forum for PTV software users to exchange ideas with each other, present their studies and be updated regarding the latest software upgrades and future plans of the PTV Group.
