Shangri-la Properties, Inc. commissioned SMDI in 1988 to undertake a traffic study of the Shangri-la Complex at the corner of EDSA and Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. The development was envisioned to be self-contained with wide shopping areas, cinemas, condominiums, office buildings, food shops, a hotel and a supermarket.
