A traffic management study was conducted for Rockwell Center by SMDI to establish and understand the existing travel patterns of Rockwell and draw up an effective management and circulation plan when the Power Plant Shopping Mall starts operation in November 2000.
The study objectives were to: a) determine and assess the current vehicular traffic flow at Rockwell Center, as well as its boundaries; b) assess the conditions and adequacy for vehicular access into/out of Rockwell Center and the Bel-Air gates along Rockwell Drive; c) forecast the expected traffic to be generated by the Power Plant; d) propose traffic management schemes at the Bel-air gates fronting Rockwell Drive; and e) prepare a detailed traffic management plan.
