September 15, 2021: Shaw Boulevard/Camino Verde/West Capitol Drive intersection was officially converted into a four-legged signalized intersection and the operation has been turned over to the Pasig City TPMO. The traffic impact and design study of the intersection was conducted by SMDI and implemented by Prime Wayfinders, Inc. (PWI) for Ortigas & Company Ltd Partnership (OCLP), with the guidance of the Local Government Unit of Pasig City. The objective is to provide an equitable space for all road users, i.e., motorized vehicles, bicycles, commuters and pedestrians, including PWDs. The new features of the intersection are: bike lanes/boxes, pedestrian safety and PWD-friendly islands, speed tables, direct access to Capitol Commons from West Capitol Drive and a new traffic signalization system. This project is also in anticipation of the closure of the intersection of Shaw Blvd/Meralco Avenue, during the construction of the South Station of the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP) at the Unimart area.
